What is hanti in hindi?

The species Cyperus esculentus L. is known by the common name Hántí in Songhay. It is known by the common name Hãnti in Gourmantché.

Commonly known as Chufa Sedge or the Tiger Nut, Cyperus esculentus is a crop found largely in the western hemisphere and cultivated for thousands of years. Its dried tubers which have a slightly sweet, nutty flavour, have been found in Egyptian tombs dating as far back as 6000 years ago. It is also rich in oil content.

In Hindi, Hanti (Cyperus esculentus L.) is known by Chichada or Chichoda.
