What is Bambusa in english?

Bambusa is a genus of flowering plants of the grass family known commonly as the bamboo. Besides being cultivated as a wood, the young shoots of bamboos are also edible and popular in South and Southeast Asia. Bamboo sap is also used to make wine (ulanzi) in some parts of the world.
